They breed on sloping beaches at the edge of the shorelines.
The Harbor Seal is perfectly adapted to underwater life.
They are grayish, white, and have black dots on their coals.
Their coats give them camoflage.

Their thick blubber protects them from the cold.
The males are called bulls. Females are called cows.
Pupping occurs in the middle of March to the end of June.
The Harbor Seal is the only Northern True Seal that always breeds on land or ice.
